Larks may need this if very late - Owls may need this if very early! ;)
If you score 16 to 24 points, you are a lark. If your score was zero to 8 points, consider yourself an owl. What if you score between 8 and 16 points? At least for the present, you are probably a switcher. Switchers find that they can be a bit like a lark or owl. It depends on their work and family situations.
If you're a switcher, do not fret. You're in the majority. Depending on your age, your job, and the relative larkishness and owlness of the people you live with, you probably shIft frequently between living as a morning or a night person. For example, many 9-to-5 workers deciden become owls over the weekend. (Beware, however: Partly as a result this shift in body clocks, Monday morning is the peak time of deatht the United States.) Unfortunately, our capacity to shift inner time lessens as we become older. It's the same as with many other biologically based abilities. It just grows more difficult to do things well as we get older. There are few marathon runners and swing-shift workers over the age of seventy.
